The Challenge

Appointed and instructed by Harris Associates to remove and replace elements with non-combustible alternatives
Canius House is an occupied residential block with 39 properties. Due to the project's intrusive nature, residents were moved into temporary accommodation while work was taking place before returning upon completion.

What We Did

Replace all combustible Material in external wall build up with non-combustible fire rated material including making good all defective area with the substrate
Encapsulating timber frame build up with fire rated material (internally and externally)
To achieve EWS1 for entire building
Replacing timber desking in balconies with fire rated aluminium decking

Why Was It A Success

The project was finished on time and within budget
A S Ramsay managed to hand over all flats to residents that had been moved to temporary hotel accommodation
We have received many emails from both residents and agents praising the work completed
We have completed the job with no major snagging requirements
Achieved completion certificate from BCO and fire engineer
