An A S Ramsay Case Study
This project involved the external refurbishment of Riverside Mansions in London. Damaged, leaking roofs, walkways, and balconies were causing water ingress to the flats below. The main goal of this project was to waterproof the building and fix years of historic leaks. The project entailed many challenges, with residents occupying the properties while we waterproofed the balcony walkways. Additionally, we had to navigate lifting the trails as a whole unit, ensuring we were precise and safe and that there were no risks to the workforce or residents.
The project involved removing and reinstating the wrong details from the metal railing. This included lifting all railings 100m high, replacing all corroded legs, completing Fosroc repairs on all balcony soffits, and treating corroded steel and a chimney breast. We also provided masonry works to all external elevations. Once this was completed, the building needed masonry repairs, metal works and the previous painted surfaces required a full decoration. Where necessary, we also replaced mastic, roofing tiles, redundant cables and fire doors. Upon completion, the whole building was cleaned.
